Straight Jacket: Overcoming Society's Legacy of Gay Shame Reviews
the book was not quite what I expected. some parts of it were very good but others were not. I did not get much out of it. it did not give many ways to be both gay and happy.
First time I write a review but I did it because this book changed my life. If you are a gay man and have suffered depression and anxiety, are on drugs or never feel satisfied, please read it.
Book arrived much quicker than I expected, in excellent condition. I just started reading, but this looks to be a fantastic addition to my library.
Book as described, shipping slow.
Finished. Finally- after largely being on lockdown for the past 48 hours. Best book I've read about #LGBT life since 'The Velvet Rage' - meticulously crafted. Excellent. Important. Life changing (no, really). Vital- actually.
Very Good. The only thing I missed was a chapter on how gays use religion in a destructive way- that was my problem and it delayed coming out for years..
Powerful, profound, important, and necessary. Matthew is brave, brilliant and compassionate. It should be required reading for every gay man. Thank you, Matthew!
