Scheisse! The Real German You Were Never Taught in School Reviews
All it took was one look into this book and I knew I found my source for speaking profane German. This definitely took me back to the days when I was a kid in elementary school trying to learn all the dirty words you could just to get a giggle, or a thrill of one-upping your friends with the power of filthy language.
Very good for my daughter to refresh her German !
In her book, "Scheisse" Gertrude Besserwisser, which seems to almost have to be a pseudonym, the reader is introduced to really wonderful low Deutsch of the most common variety. In fact, this is German you don't learn in school, I heard this stuff when I went to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But not in school.
very good for the most part, but I am not very good at speaking german.
This was a hit as a gift for a family member, who still uses the book off and on. The translations in this book are ok. There are quite a few words in German that nobody actually uses anymore, but the book overall is fun and you can actually learn a couple things. I advise people who are not used to swearing, cursing or using graphic language to look for a different book - off course the title itself tells you that already.
this book is hilarious! i don't know why something like this wasn't done sooner, great job, i really enjoyed this book!
Fast and timely. my daughter. Very patient and helpful Very good, very durable, good charge. well. Excellent product!
I studied German in college for 2 years. I had a good working knowledge of the correct language. I have German speaking friends and they use many of these words in conversation. Makes studying a little more fun.
